Good morning. Today I’m sharing a recipe followed by a little news.
The following is an adaption of my pal Jessie Sheehan’s recipe from her book Snackable Bakes: 100 Easy-Peasy Recipes for Exceptionally Scrumptious Sweets and Treats (Countryman Press, 2022). She has granted her permission for me to share this adapted version with you.
In addition to being a whole lot of fun, Jessie is all about recipes that are really easy and quick, with delicious and crowd-pleasing results. The “easy and quick” part isn’t always how I roll, so it was nice to combine powers with her and end up with a date-sweetened version of these delicious bars that is still shockingly “easy-peasy.” Remember that if you need any help finding ingredients, I’ve added a whole Resources section to my site. Also, here’s a quick video of me making this recipe (Note that the final recipe for the topping—below—is a little different from the one I made in the video).
